Why a Room Is the Right Unit
A home is too big to assess in one sitting, and a single product is too small to change anything. A room is the unit people actually live in — the nursery, the primary bedroom, the kitchen. It is also the unit where exposures stack up, because everything in it shares the same air.

How It Works
Photograph the room. The tool identifies the items it can recognize in the frame — furniture, finishes, textiles, visible products — and applies the same review used by Item Scan to each of them: what it is, what is commonly inside it, and what a healthier alternative looks like.
The result is not a single verdict on the room. It is a list, room by room, of the things worth changing.
Getting a Useful Scan
- Shoot in good light, with the room reasonably tidy.
- Take two or three photos from different corners rather than one wide shot.
- Include the surfaces that matter: bedding, flooring, upholstery, visible cleaning or air-care products.
- Scan bedrooms first. People spend roughly a third of their lives in them, and bedrooms concentrate mattresses, textiles and finishes.
What It Cannot See
Room Scan only reviews what is visible. Anything inside a closed cabinet, behind drywall or under flooring is out of frame — which is exactly why whole-house questions about insulation, subfloor and wall assemblies belong to the construction side of the work, not the camera.
Like every part of the assessment, it describes products and materials. It does not diagnose, test for, or predict any medical condition.
