Most homes are decorated before they are understood. The healthy-home work connects the pieces that change that: Mr Hemp House® for building and materials, GaiaCrete™ as a hemp-lime building system, Home Health Scan™ and the Home Health Score™ for understanding conditions inside a home, and education so homeowners and builders can act on what they find. It is designed to help people understand, improve and build healthier homes — not to diagnose health conditions or guarantee outcomes.
Built from the field
I’m Christopher L. Penn — a U.S. Air Force veteran, father, believer, entrepreneur, author, and builder. My career started in sales and business development, from launching Wireless Wave to automotive and pharmaceutical-related sales, before spending roughly 17 years in renovation, construction, and restoration. In many ways, that chapter started with a hammer and a willingness to figure things out, and it taught me how to sell, build, operate, solve problems, and grow businesses from the ground up.
Over the years, I’ve built and operated multiple businesses, including companies that reached seven figures in annual sales. I’m also the founder of a Veteran-Owned Small Business, SAM.gov registered, and was selected for the 2023 IMPEL cohort. Those experiences shaped how I approach business today: understand the problem, learn the system, build the solution, and make sure it creates real value for the people it serves.
Today, much of my work is focused on how we live, build, and use technology. I’m building America’s Healthy Home Platform™ through Mr Hemp House®, Home Health Scan™, healthier building materials and systems, while also developing businesses in sales technology, digital legacy, brand development, entrepreneurship, publishing, and education. The industries may look different, but the way I think about them is the same — take an idea, solve a real problem, and turn it into something useful.
At the center of all of it are faith, family, service, freedom, and impact. I’m still building, still learning, and still betting on ideas I believe can make people’s lives better. Whether I’m building a home, a company, a technology platform, a book, or helping someone turn an idea into a business, the goal is simple: build things that matter and leave something better behind.
